Dhundhara Ratan Award 2011 went to Rajasthan Patrika along with 3 others

The geographically area where GVNML has completed more than three decades of time in Managing Natural Resources to soften the life of resident of area, the area called “DHUNDHAR”. Now the resident has taken the charge to maintain ground rules, green cover safety, self sustaining water availability and enrich village environment with continuous efforts of people’s involvement. The most inspiring person and the real ground worker has chosen out of them to honor by Dhundhar Ratan (Diamond of Dhundhar Area) every year.

For year 2011 Rajasthan Patrika that is most leading News paper of Rajasthan and also published daily in many states of Rajasthan.  Three others are also have very remarkable track record to conserve Nature and save Environment, these are 1. Shree Lal Sharma 2. Mahendra Singh Panwar and 3. Jagdish Jee Vaishnav all three has did committed work for greenery, water management and involve other people voluntarily to work for maintaining tree alive, maintaining water bodies etc. Where Rajasthan Patrika has called people on common cause like saving water bodies, planting trees etc. through its media and a big mass has involved for maintaining water bodies, save trees, plant and care trees. It has aware and force Govt. to remove encroachment from water conservation structures, illegal possession and being legal owner of common land. The award has been given by holly hands of Former King of Marwar state His Hines Maharaja Jodhpur Gaj Singh and Principle and Chief Conservator of Forest (wild life) Mr. U. M. Shay in presence of around 20 former Dhundhar Ratan Awardees, more than 300 peoples who has marched 2-20 KM as pilgrimage for nature.
